We had a 5 day stay at No 9. Arriving at 1am we were greeted with a super ‘welcome basket’ and it was much appreciated. The house is well appointed, creating a home from home feeling. We explored the narrow streets, had a daily visit to the local bakery situated off a side street to the left of the house. El Recreo and Pacos provided us with good simple food, who knew that honey would go so well with sautéed aubergine! The supermarket is well stocked and the Saturday market has many surprise and delights.
After a morning exploring, the roof terrace is an ideal place to view the scenery and gaze down on the square, in addition to soaking up some sunshine. We will be back.

We enjoyed an amazing 2 weeks at No.9 which is perfectly positioned to enjoy everything that charming Competa has to offer. The townhouse itself is beautifully decorated with Nicki and Paul thinking of everything needed for an enjoyable and relaxing holiday. I would have no hesitation in booking any of their properties again.

We enjoyed a wonderful 5 day break at the beautiful No 9 ! The townhouse is in the very pretty village of Competa, just off the bustling square.
The house is tastefully decorated with fab artwork , well equipped and immaculately clean. The beds are very comfortable with quality bed linen & the bathrooms modern with hot powerful showers. Amazing views from the roof terrace across the square down to the sea in the distance.
The owners (Paul & Nicki ) are thoughtful from start to finish - the booking process was very simple. We were provided with a comprehensive information booklet which included great recommendations for local restaurants ( I think we tried all of them & they were all fantastic) and we would also endorse the recommended car hire company.
A stunning property in a picturesque location, within easy reach of Malaga airport. Looking forward to a return visit.

We has a wonderful holiday at No.9, which is such a beautiful town house in the centre of Competa. The house is stylish and comfortable, the bedrooms particularly are tranquil and comfortable but once the shutters are open in the morning you get a sense of the lovey atmosphere coming through the open windows with the morning sun. Competa itself is fantastic, with lovely vibrant bars and restaurants which are very welcoming and offer high quality wine and dining. The town's market is lovely, as are the traditional streets filled with old white houses that you can stroll through for hours at a leisurely ace. Malaga is less than an hour away and the day we spent there was great, a chance to experience a different city vibe, we especially loved it down by the marina. We woudl highly recommend a stay at No 9 🙂

Stayed for a week in No 9 woth a friend - girls week away. The villa is beautifully furnished and in the best location, close to great restaurants and shops. Nikki and Paul and super helpful and on hand to answer any questions. The roof terrace is the unexpected gem here as it is a total suntrap, complete with fridge and loungers (there is also a sun umbrella for a touch of shade!). Hugely recommend Competa Escapes and looking forward to booking again soon - a perfect place to relax and recharge.

No9 was a fabulous find on what was our 4th holiday in Competa.
It’s a stunning property with furnishings and facilities of a high standard. Fantastic showers!!
The hosts are great at keeping in touch from booking through to returning our security deposit. They very kindly left us a welcome basket and a generous supply of beer and wine!
The house is in the best location in Competa literally on the side of the square. There are ample good restaurants in Competa for holiday makers who like to eat out, we never had a bad meal. We look forward to our next visit to No9.

We visited Cómpeta in August 2018 and stayed in one of Cómpeta escapes property’s no 9 which we absolutly loved. the location of no 9 is just above the main square so you can watch the world go by from the lovely roof terrace which is a real sun trap. The house itself is beautiful and extremely relaxing with a gorgeous outdoor covered dinning area and plunge pool, it was really hard to leave but with so many restaurants on your door step we did eat out every night.

We had enjoyed our holiday so much we tried to rebook for the following year but we were not quick enough and our dates were not available, but we were very excited to be offered to be the first guests to stay in no 17, Nicki and Pauls, latest addition to the Competa Escape portfolio.

We were met in the square by Nicki who was visiting Cómpeta to put the final touches to our home for the week. I made an instant friend we chatted about the town and Nicki’s favourite restaurants on the short walk to the house. Nicki and Paul had sent us an email on our previous trip highlighting some great days out and their favourite restaurants which we had found invaluable on our previous trip.

When we entered No 17 we were blown away at the beautiful decor and attention to detail. There are two double bedrooms with very comfortable beds and very generous en-suite bathrooms, our daughter could not believe that she had the biggest shower but both bathrooms were fantastic. Then upstairs you arrive at the kitchen dinner living room all beautiful with a very modern kitchen with everything you need to stay at home for meals although we did go out most evenings. Nicki has very kindly filled the fridge with a bottle of wine and some groceries so we could start to relax straight away. Then on to the roof terrace we were very excited to see the much anticipated plunge pool this didn’t disappoint it was such a lovely space to sit and relax that we hardly left the house other than to have dinner out. We had the best holiday we could have hoped for in this beautiful home. Cómpeta is a hidden gem which we love and will definitely be back again. We had planned another trip for 2020 but our plans were put on hold due to Covid, we hadn't decided which house to book as they are both so lovely but we are planning a trip this year when we are able.

We had an amazing time at No 9. The location of the property is excellent just off the main square in the centre of the village. The house is beautiful and has everything you could want for a perfect stay. The Welcome Pack was great and we loved the Lemon Drizzle cake. The communication from the owners was fantastic. We would highly recommend Competa and No 9.
